The cost of Dementia

A report commissioned by the Alzheimer's Research Trust shows that :

• over 820,000 people in the UK suffer from dementia

• dementia costs the UK economy £23billion per year (more than cancer and heart disease combined)

• dementia research is underfunded, receiving 12times less than cancer research.
